How To Setup A League / Team

Step-by-step guide


Once you have purchased a team, you will begin the setup process. To begin the setup process, login to your P2P account and go to your My Profile>Add a group/team then click the green add group/team button. You will then choose the team type from dropdown, name the team, and choose the number of singles and doubles courts that are playing.


go to My Groups>Manage Groups>Setup Team to begin setting up your team. You will be asked to complete the following steps:
  1. Add Your Players & Subs
  2. Enter Your Team Profile
  3. Enter Your Team Match Schedule

Each player on your roster will be registered for an account and will receive an e-mail with their login and a temporary password. They will need to login and update their password, contact information and availability.

Add Your Players & Subs

  1. Select Existing Players if the player you are adding has played in a previous team that you have captained (if you are adding this player as a sub, select Add Players as Subs).
  2. Add A New Player if the player has not played in a previous team that you have captained (if you are adding this player as a sub, select Sub from the Player/Sub drop down). If the player/sub already has an P2P account associated with the email address you have entered, the system will ask you if you'd like to add the player using their existing account.
  3. Click Next Step
Enter Your Team Profile

1. Enter the following information:

  • Team Name
  • Team Captain and Co-Captain
  • Day of the week for matches
  • First Day of League Play
  • Number of Matches
  • Your Home Court
  • Start Time for League Play
  • End Time for League Play
  • USTA Rating
  • Add a check mark if you want P2P to remind players to bring balls to home matches, leave it blank if you do not
2. Click on Next Step

Enter Your Team Match Schedule

NOTE: You may enter your match details at this time or you may Click Finish and enter them at a later time by selecting MyGroups->Manage Groups and following the steps below.
    1. Click on Schedule.
    2. Click on the Date of the Match or Enter Match Detail
    3. Add the following information for each match:
Edit the date of the match if needed, Click on the >> calendar icon.  Navigate the calendar with the << (Previous Month) or >> (Next month) buttons.  Select the date of the match.
If you change the date of a match, P2P will prompt you to email members of your team to let them know.  Click on OK to email all players or click on Cancel for no email.  In either case, the change will be saved.
Enter the Start Time of the match Enter the End Time for the match Select At Staggered Time if matches will have a staggered start. 
If matches are staggered, select the date and start time and end time for each court.  Alternate 1 and Alternate 2 courts are for assigning players who will be alternates in the event a scheduled player can’t attend.
Select At the Same Time if matches do not have staggered starts. Select Home if your team is the Home team or Away if your team is the visitor. Type in the name of the opponent. Select the Tennis Center where this match will be played. 
Use the drop down list to see if the tennis center is listed. If it is not in the list, select Other.  Enter the Tennis Center Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone Number
Add Notes about the match.
    1. Click on Add/Update.
    2. When all match details have been added, Click Finish.
To better assist you in creating a lineup for each match, give your players time  to update their availability before .
If you do not finish the match details at this time, you can return to P2P to complete this step. 

Quick tip: Wait for Players to enter Availability before Entering the Lineup.
